Here’s a stylized sandstone material I’ve been working on recently. It’s a bit of a new direction for me, as I wanted to step away from pure realism and try something more stylized and shape-focused.

I went for chunky, rounded stones with soft edges and subtle variation to keep that handcrafted feel, while still reading well from a distance. The warm tones and light wear help push the sandstone look without overdoing it.

I also explored multiple variations of the material, with the setup allowing easy pattern changes through different inputs. This made it flexible to iterate on shapes and layouts while keeping a consistent style.

It was a fun one to work on and a nice way to explore a different approach. Definitely something I’d like to keep pushing further in future projects.
